Who was that fat bloke with the white beard?

Friday, December 30th, 2005

I spent Christmas Day at home with Mummy and Daddy and we were joined by Mummy’s side of the family. Nanny and Grandad got me a train for Christmas!

Of course I had tonnes of other presents too!

After Christmas Day we visited my other Grandad and Nanny Christine. Great Grandma June, Jack and Auntie Linda were there too. We had a really nice time. Oh, and of course I got lots more presents!

I’ve still got one more Christmas to come – Nanny from Cornwall will be coming up to visit some time soon!

My birthday party

Saturday, December 17th, 2005

My first birthday party went really well. The house was full of people and it was all a bit too much at times, especially for poor old Daddy! I got lots of presents, which I took forever to open, and had lots of yummy party food. My birthday cake was Dougal from The Magic Roundabout!

If you subscribe to the podcast then you should have already seen the video, but if not you can see it here (You might need to install the newest version of Quicktime if it doesn’t play).

Gee, Guh! Dee, Duh!

Thursday, December 15th, 2005

Today I surprised Mummy and Daddy by showing them that I know at least a few letters and sounds. For example I can recognize that the letter “D” (“Dee”) sounds like “Duh!” and the letter “G” (“Gee”) sounds like “Guh!”.

I can also shake my head for no and nod it for yes which sometimes gets confusing because it looks like I’m dancing.

It’s My 1st Birthday!

Tuesday, December 13th, 2005

Today was my very first birthday! I woke up and got Daddy and Mummy out of bed. When we went downstairs there were lots of cards for me. I opened them all – they were from all my family and friends. I liked them a lot, but was more excited about opening my presents!

I enjoyed ripping open the wrapping paper and was very happy with my presents.

I spent most of the day playing with all my new things. I’m looking forward to Saturday when I have my birthday party.

Daddy and I are getting excited!

It’s going to be Christmas soon, so I taught Daddy how to do a big grin like me. Now we can both show you how excited we are!

How big can these grins get?

Now I’ve got four teeth I have decided to start giving everyone really massive over-the-top grins! I like to grin wherever I go – even in the bath!

My First Attempt at Walking

Friday, December 2nd, 2005

Today I was very brave and took a whole step on my own! I was trying to get from Daddy to Mummy and decided to give it a go. I stumbled after the first step, but I’m getting better and braver every time I try it. I can stand up on my own now too!
