A throne of my own

Saturday, August 27th, 2005

My Uncles Keith and Stephen and Aunty Eve brought me my belated Christening present today. I was asleep so Daddy opened it for me. When I woke up, there it was – a beautiful wooden chair! It is very heavy, and is engraved with a picture of a bear and my name, date of birth and christening date.

It’s really nice and I feel important when I sit on it.

The youngest broadcaster ever!

Saturday, August 27th, 2005

I have just started my own Podcast / Vodcast ! (For anybody who doesn’t know what those are, just click on the words “Podcast” or “Vodcast” back in that last sentence for a description). In short, it’s a really easy way for you to keep up-to-date with audio and video recordings I am making.

I recommend that you download iTunes if you haven’t already as it’s a good place to start with Podcasts. You can then subscribe to my broadcasts by launching iTunes , going to the “Advanced” menu option and selecting “Subscribe to Podcast…”. In the dialog that appears, enter the following:

…click OK and you’re done.

If you have any problems subscribing, you can always download the files direct from this website when I put a new one up.

Something for the weekend, Sir?

Today was a horribly rainy day emoticon and we didn’t do much. I went to get weighed again (don’t forget to look at my graphs on the menu at the left – "My Statistics").

Mummy gave my hair a bit of a trim because she thought I was starting to look like a girl. Daddy thought I looked fine – just like him when he was little – and that long hair looked cool. I had to remind him that he was born in the 70’s and looking like a hippy isn’t really in fashion anymore!

Harrison-Houdini.jpgToday I once again amazed Mummy and Daddy! I was sitting nicely in my walker as usual. Daddy came into the room, then Mummy went to the kitchen. Daddy saw that I was in no apparent danger and left to go to the kitchen for approximately 10 seconds.

When Mummy turned around, she saw me crawling though the doorway on my way to join them in the kitchen!!! I had escaped from my walker in a matter of seconds, without any apparent harm to myself.

Mummy started to tell Daddy off for getting me out and leaving me but suddenly she realised that he hadn’t.

I’m not going to reveal how I did it as a good magician never reveals his secrets, but watch this space for any further amazing feats!

The picture is an authentic poster of Harry Houndini’s that Daddy has "tweaked" for me.

Going up in the world!

Saturday, August 20th, 2005

In the past week I have been to visit Great Aunt Sarah and my lovely second cousins, which was fun. I was very well behaved, even when the girls were partying. I ate lots of home-cooked food which was yummy! Today Nanny, Grandad and Auntie Gem came to visit and bought me a chocolate bar for being a good boy. Innocent

The best thing I did this week was shock Mummy and Daddy by being able to pull myself up to standing position without any help. Mummy was surprised when she suddenly saw my head pop over the top rail of my cot! I am also crawling properly now, when I can be bothered.

Lucky Little Me!

Daddy got the mail this morning and found that I have won £50 with the premium bonds that Grandad bought me! Applauding

I’ve only had them a few months so that is pretty good going. Daddy has had a premium bond all his life and hasn’t won anything! Daddy is going to put the money into my bank account for me.

More photographs!

Here are our latest set of photographs. We had them taken just over a month ago, before I got my teeth!

I feel like a monkey!

Sunday, August 7th, 2005

Today we went to Grandad Page’s house and had fun playing with the toys he keeps there. Somebody kept phoning me on my toy phone, but whenever I picked it up there was nobody there! Nevermind, Daddy has got one his old mobile phones out for me to play with so maybe I’ll get some calls on that (unless Daddy has been sneaky and taken the battery out).

Grandad bought some things called “stair gates” which I thought was a sci-fi program on the television, but apparently they are to put in the house. Now I feel a bit like those monkeys we saw at the zoo!

These feet were made for walking…

Saturday, August 6th, 2005

I’m getting the idea of walking now. I can’t actually DO it yet without holding someones hand, but I get better every day. Sometimes I can stand up on my own for a few seconds without holding on to ANYTHING!

I’m the only one!

Mummy let me choose what I wanted to wear today, so I just had to pick my Tigger costume! I know I look a bit silly but it’s worth it if it embarrasses Daddy!
